At the risk of becoming a ‘cricket bore’ – one last, brief mention of England’s Test Match against New Zealand!
WE WON!!
Against all the odds – absolutely amazing. At lunch-time yesterday it looked as though it was all over. By tea-time yesterday it was clear that something pretty exciting was happening and just before tea today England scored the winning runs and beat New Zealand by 6 wickets. That’s a pretty impressive victory!
AND . . . not content with winning the match, England also scored the highest ever 4th innings total to win a Test Match at Old Trafford.
As you might imagine, I didn’t get much work done this afternoon. Oh well, is a Bank Holiday!
I promise, no more cricket for at least a week!
