Usually Tim has to put up with things (well me, really) but yesterday he had a day of putting things up, with my assistance of course!

First he bought two new blinds – one for the kitchen which has had a naked window since it was renovated, and one for the bathroom which had a very mouldy discoloured blind already! The task of getting these installed proved more compelx than anticipated and in the course of the day I learnt a lot of interesting words!!!

First they had to be cut to size. All very well, but it wasn’t clear that they had to be cut equally at both sides – to keep the decorative hole and leather tag at the bottom in the middle. Oops, too late. Then they ahd to be fitted to the window and our windows are odd…

Anyway cutting a long story short we do now have the blinds up – with the bottom of the kitchen one rolled up and pinned to hide the uneven hole! And we also have the remnants of a third blind- as , yes, Tim managed to break the first bathroom one and had to go buy another one!!

Still they look really good and Hilary was most impressed when she got home!

But the putting things up didn’t stop there – in the evening I helped the humans put up the Christmas tree! Tim really had great fun trying to get it to stand straight up!! But it looks really good and there are lots of interesting things on it I want to investigate when I get a chance!!
