My extra human Laura was here for a few days and I enjoyed her company- especially at night when my usual humans go to bed and she seems to stay up!!

While she was here she taught the humans a card game, with a rather rude name I won’t use here! But it seems fast and furious as you lay cards in turn, each one above the value of the one below, and they all mean different things which affect the next move, and you try to get rid of all your cards before your opponent/s. Hilary got quite addicted to the game and yesterday she and Laura played no fewer than 21 games – laura beat Hilary 11 games to 10 despite Hilary having a 9- 4 lead earlier on!!!

I enjoyed watching them play, even if they didn’t let me join in or even sweep the cards off the table! Now Laura’s gone back to university maybe I should offer to play with Hilary instead? I could chew up the low cards first!!
