I waited with even more baited breath than usual for the postman this morning. It is always an exciting time when I hear his van drive up, and the door opening and then the plop as the letters are either put through the letter box or left straight on the lobby floor if the door is already open!

Today being the 14th of February I was expecting a massive pile of cards for me, from all my admirers out there. Sadly however there was no mail for me (they must have got lost in the post) and the only mail appeared to be a bank statement for Hilary and a church letter for Tim! Hmm.

My humans did exchange cards, both in bright red envelopes. I say exchange but Hilary gave Tim his (along with a small gift) in the morning whereas Tim gave Hilary hers ( along with two gifts, one of which turned out to be really posh chocolates that she just went “oooh” over) after work, which suggests to me he only got them today! Typical man!

Still nothing for me. Mind you I did leave a doggy-smell for my friend Bethan to sniff on our walk, wishing her a Happy Valentine’s Day, and I would like via my blog to wish all you humans, canines, felines or whatever you are a very happy valentine’s day too!
