My female human was busy today as she defrosted our freezer. We have a huge chest freezer that contains all kinds of food for humans and recently it has been incredibly frosted up, so Hilary has been trying to use up some of the contents to empty it. She even made a list of everything in it and scored things off as they were eaten. Tim thought that was a bit sad.

Anyway today was Defrost Day so after my walk she wrapped the remaining food in newspaper and stuffed it in the fridge so the freezer could be turned off. After a while the ice had thawed a bit so she could scrape it away from the sides. Ity made an interesting noise and there was some nice smells too. There were a lot of green beans, breadcrumbs and sweet corn bits and a distinct aroma of lager!!

Monty was quite interested and climbed up to get a closer look. Hilary was worried he might fall in! he didn’t but at one point he hissed in anger as he had stood on the lid which had closed!

Hilary was astounded to find some of my hairs stuck in the ice on the side of the freezer. Yes, bits of me get everwhere!

Its back on now and Hilary is planning a big shop to fill it up again. I only hope she remembers to get me lots of food too!
