It is really windy here today! Quite took my breath away! I have just been for my walk on Binn Hill with Hilary and at times she could hardly stay upright! There were lots of leaves and branches on the path and some of the trees were swaying so furiously she was terrified they would come crashing down! At home, all three of our wheelie bins had blown over and I had to supervise Hilary clearing up all the mess!

Anyway, Hilary was in Edinburgh for work today and said it was very windy there too. The train was delayed coming home due to high winds on the Forth Bridge, so Hilary had plenty of time to read the free newspaper “Metro” available at many stations. One wee story caught her eye and she asked me to share it with you…

A cat has been reunited with his human – three and a half years after going missing! Sam the cat from West Sussex had managed to escape from his cat box and then out of an open car window when he was on his way to the vet person! Then, three and a half years later he was handed in and his micrchip read -and he was reunited with his human who had given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Hilary thinks the cat was very clever to escape (and has mande a note to always keep the windows shut when Monty is in the car!) but I think it was a little bit desparate to go on the run for 3 1/2 years just to avoid the Vet person! Though maybe he had some good adventures!
