It is Sunday evening again! The weekends fly by and suddenly it is nearly time for my female human to return to work again. Still, I have enjoyed some nice walks with her this weekend including one especially muddy one!

Sometimes I wonder if she really is grown up. Take yesterday for instance, we are having a nice walk round the wooded hill, and she decides to play hide and seek with me! I think she is under the illusion it is for my benefit, but I am not as childish as she is!

It is always Hilary who gets to hide- and (nearly always) behind trees. What she does it wait till I am a little bit ahead of her and then she darts behind a tree at the side of the path. For some reason she thinks she is hidden there, although, usually bits of her are clearly sticking out! I also usually can see her go and hide, or hear her crunching on the leaves and branches underfoot.

I then have to wait a few seconds, then pretend to turn round in a panic, not see her and come bounding down the path towards her and greet her in an excited fashion when I reach her tree. Sometimes I pretend I don’t know which tree she is behind and run a little too far, only to come screeching to a halt as I race past! She always praises me and tells me I am a good dog!

We played this a lot yesterday and I always found her- very easily!
