Winter again!

22 03 2008 - 17:52

I had thought winter was over but I was wrong. When I got up this morning and looked outside it was white! Yes, we had snow- not that much to be honest, but the garden and the field behind our house were all white!

Hilary took me for my usual walk a wee bit later and there was still some patches of snow there, which I had fun licking up! It was also really windy (my silly female human described it as “blowy windy” but all wind is blowy!!) and there was some hail and sleet! I was glad I have a nice thick coat of hair as I didn’t feel the cold. My human however was only wearing a thin fleece over her top, and kept complaining she was cold. Her hands did feel rather icelike I must admit when she stroked me.

That is what a couple from Newcastle have done so they can keep their (now dead) dogs close to them! Here is a picture of them wearing jumpers from shed hairs from Penny (a Swedish Lapphund) and Kara (a Samoyed) .

Now, I shed so much hair I am sure Hilary and Tim could both have matching black jumpers- or indeed long coats- in just a month or two- and never feel the cold again!
