Exciting News!

Time for my big exciting news! (drum roll…)
I have been keeping a secret the last few days which is very hard with a big mouth like mine that wants to bark it out.. but it is now official! It was announced in church this morning!
I am going to be moving in the summer!
Yes! I have decided that I have enjoyed being a country-dog for my puppyhood and formative years, but now I am a mature nearly-3 year old I would like a change and fancy urban life! So, I have arranged for us to move to Dunfermline, which is a small city about 35 miles away – just North of Edinburgh across the Forth.
Tim (my male human) is going to be Rector at Holy Trinity Dunfermline with St Margaret’s Rosyth, which means we are all moving to the Rectory there, probably in August! Well done on your new job Tim! I suspect you only got it because of me- didn’t I hear one of the congregation say they want me to do parish visits and enjoy my blog??
It is the church where David Campbell (whose blog is linked on the right side of this blog) used to be, and I enjoy reading his blogs so I look forward to getting to know Dunfermline myself now!
My humans saw round the Rectory there earlier this week and have told me all about it. Its smaller and more modern that this house, so much cheaper to heat and easier to maintain and clean! (and less for me to run around checking!) There is a nice safe enclosed garden for me at the back, and even a cat flap for Monty to come and go as he pleases. I wonder if it can be made a bit bigger for me to fit through?
It is all a bit strange at the moment as although it is very exciting at the prospect of moving and living somewhere else we all love living here and will really miss the church and the people here, this large Victorian house with endless rooms and fancy cornices, and of course the muddy country walks on our doorstep! Hilary will have a much longer drive to work in Dundee (she is hoping to get a new car before long as I don’t think her current one will survive 100 miles a day round trip)
So changes on the horizon! I will have lots to blog about but meantime well done again to Tim and hello and woofs to you people of Dunfermline!
