I read in that fine paper The Scotsman (ought to be known as Scotsdog) today that in New York humans can “rent out” a dog! One British woman has found it very isolating in NY and her solution was to use a company called “Flexpetz” and has started to hire a three year old dog called Oliver! The agency rents out rescue dogs to help cure the solititude experienced by lonely young professionals! A monthly membership costs £140 and includes four one-day rentals! Additional rentals cost over £20 a day! Wow!

Now just imagine… when we move to Dunfermline and my humans are out at work for longer spells, I can hire myself out! Regal beast available for for walks! Company and companionship! Watching TV ! Ball games! Eating up your scraps! The list is endless! I practiced being cute tonight just lying on the floor while my human (the female one, needless to say) was ironing, and looked up devotedly at her. Someone may as well me paying me to do that!

Think of all the things I could do with my earnings! Buy my own kingsize bed! Go on a real holiday! Eat real chicken!

I did ask Hilary about it but she pointed out that she and Tim had paid for me in the first place, buy loads of equipment for me, insure me, feed me, train me, wash my laundry (like my wet towels- I don’t wear clothes) pay my vet bills, use petrol taking me for walks , not to mention the replacemnt costs of things I have damaged like remote controls, mobile phones, lino…........ so that if I did earn anything it was really theirs.

Hm, Maybe I will not bother and just stick to blogging.
