Hilary is very excited today. I thought it was because she is finally over her cold. Then perhaps it was because of her birthday a couple of days ago- and the fact she and Tim are going out for a meal to celebrate tonight. But it appears the reason for her bounciness is that it is the weekend- and not just any weekend, but the May day holiday weekend which means she is off work till Tuesday!

She has told me that means an extra day with me! Yipee ! Brilliant- with a bit of careful planning I can persuade BOTH my humans to walk me on Monday- Tim early morning as usual and then Hilary later on as she is off work! Hilary is feeling very sorry for me at the moment beacause of my sore ear, so an extra walk out of sympathy would work wonders in making her feel better….

She was also upset at a sad story in the news yesterday about a German Shepherd Dog in Glasgow, who was starved to death when she was locked in a room by her human and abandoned there with no food or water for weeks. My caring female human cried when she read about Snowy’s suffering and cuddled me close, telling me she would always look after me. That must mean an extra walk!

I love long weekends too!
