Henry's breakfast!

I was impressed to read of my friend Henry the cat’s freshly caught breakfast this morning (see the comment from him on my last blog) Well done Henry, that really is wonderful and it sounds delicious. All I got was the remains of last night’s dinner I had rejected then!
Mice are a little bit small for me, more of a very light snack than a meal. I do enjoy freshly caught mice and rabbits though. Mind you I do not get them very often. They seem to be outside rather than inside our house like your mouse, although we have had occasional mice in our house especially the kitchen and back area! Tim was once on the phone in the kitchen in the early hours of the morning and saw a mouse coming under the door and strutting its stuff there. Mice have also nibbled through some cereal packs and other food we used to keep in a low cupboard! I never caught one though. Unluckily for me and Monty our new kitchen here seems to be mouse proof. Maybe there will be mice in our new house in Dunfermline though! I could ask the Vestry there to get some for us.
We do have a large garden here with lots of rabbits. At the moment there are lots of baby rabbits and Monty is catching quite a few. He seems to like the sport of playing with, catching, and then killing them and then just leaves the corpse without eating it! (maybe he prefers his Whiskas?)
Sometimes he brings them home as presents for me and my humans. There was a mouse on the doorstep the other day that I was very interested in, but I think the humans must have wanted it for themselves as they took it away. Yesterday morning there was a dead rabbit in the porch. Monty had caught it for my breakfast, very kindly. My humans were very mean though and did not let me eat it. When I went back for it later on it had gone. ... very mysterious.
