A Moment's Respite . . .

Phew! A moment of peace at last! They’ve gone out for a while!

It’s SUCH hard work looking after these little humans! They have an amazing amount of energy! Even a fit, energetic and active dog like me has to have a break sometimes!
But it’s great fun! I think the grown-up humans have put me in charge of looking after and entertaining the small humans – which means tearing around the house with them all day, wrestling with them, letting them dress me up in clothes, letting them put a bandage on my paw (they tried on my tail, but I couldn’t hold it still enough and it kept flying off!) – and even trying to ride on my back once!
Sometimes they sit down quietly and watch that strange box thing with pictures. Then I can get a rest too, though I have to get up every few minutes to go and nudge them and lick them just to make sure they’re OK!
Yesterday, I took them in the garden and we had a great run around with lots of wrestling and throwing sticks. In the end I got tired though, and had to come inside for a rest! I don’t know how their parent-humans cope with it all the time!
Anyway, I’m in for a treat tonight because my male human has obviously been learning from the way I look after the little ones and tonight, I can have a well-earned rest while they wrestle with Tim. They’ve been demanding to wrestle with ‘Uncle Tim’ every since they got here and he’s, rather meanly in my opinion, managed to put it off so far. However, I heard him this morning promising that he would definitely wrestle with them this evening.
So, something to look forward to!
