It is all quiet again now as my visiting humans have gone home to their own dog, Riley. I really enjoying having our visitors especially the small humans who had lots of energy to play with me. It was especially good fun in the garden as they liked to chase me and run around the house too, carrying sticks! They used their hands rather than their mouths,mind you.

Anyway today they set off home and it is just me and my own humans again. They are very boring in the garden preferring to sit and drink lager and read rather than play. So I decided to make my own fun tonight. First I brought Monty’s cushion (the one that is kept in the porch for when he stays put all night) outside and had a good chew on that. Then I had an explore and found the carcass of a rabbit! I carried this up near my humans to be sociable and was just settling down for a tasty crunchy furry snack when they meanly tricked me me out of it.

So, later on to pay them back I waited till Hilary had gone inside and Tim was busy, then I jumped the fence at the front of the garden by the church. Tim eventually noticed I was missing and walked round the garden calling me. I just hid and waited. Hilary came out too (she was quite frantic) and it was really funny as they kept looking for me in the field at the back, or down in the wild bit! To see over there they had to climb through lots of stinging nettles which was funny as they were both wearing sandals and Tim even had shorts on!!

Eventually Tim headed off up the road to have a look for me . I waited till he was out the way and then let Hilary catch a glimpse of me running round the church garden. I ignored her calls to come or even to stay put, and jumped over the wall in to the garden of the pub next door!

It took quite a while for Hilary and Tim to manage to get me back- great fun!
