I made friends with a new human today! Well, not a new human, like a newborn baby, but a new-to-me-human!

Late afternoon I was surprised to hear and see a white van pull up outside our house! I barked like mad to alert my humans! It wasn’t Tesco delivering the food, the postie delivering the mail, or even the oil delivery… it turned out it was our new gardener!

Strictly speaking he is the church gardener, but he is also going to be mowing our grass which is excellent news as my humans don’t garden! (Hilary blames her hayfever and Tim, well, he doesn’t really have a good excuse) I had been getting worried that the grass would be so long soon we wouldn’t be able to see over it, but it is now all trimmed and ready for playing on!

The new gardener is really nice. He must be- as he has a German Shepherd too! She sounds adorable- a fifteen month old lady dog! I haven’t met her yet, but maybe I will someday!

However he seems to think I have short ears, which is really rather an insult. My ears are perfectly sized!, thank you!! (Even if Hilary seems to have cut them off in this picture!)
