Well done Bryony!

19 06 2008 - 19:01

my humans dressed upThe day started as usual with my early morning walk with Tim, but on return home I soon realised it wasn’t a normal day!

Hilary did not go to work, and both my humans got dressed in smart clothes and seemed rather unhappy at me jumping up at them!

Tim came in with the newspapers and peered through the Scotsman till he found some names listed and pointed out Bryony’s name was there. I wondered what she had been up to!

They then explained to me that it was Bryony’s graduation day!

Bryony the graduate
I didn’t know what that meant but Hilary told me clever Bryony had completed her studies and was now being awarded her degree.

Yes, my extra human Bryony was graduating today from the University of Dundee where she has gained her degree which is MA Honours in English and History- First Class.

My humans were really impressed that she has gained a First as that is very difficult. I am not sure what a First is but maybe it is a special ball that is very hard to catch. If it is I would like one!

Bryony graduating This rather dark picture shows Bryony walking across the stage to receive her degree. My humans said what actually happened is that she wore a special black gown with a green bit and was hit over the head by an important university person with a special cap!

bryony and tim at her graduation There was lots of clapping and cheering and also some speeches.

Then Bryony and her entourage went for a coffee, and then an Italian meal, and then back to her house for a cuppa in the garden! Hilary told me that one of her housemates had a hamster that I would have been very interested in.

me in the field And where was I all day? Did I get a chance to clap my extra human as she graduated? Did I get to go for a nice meal out? No, I was left at home. Alone. All day. Till my humans finally came home and I got a walk in the field with Hilary and heard all about the day!

But Congratulations and Well Done Bryony! I am very proud of you and think you have done really well. Next time you graduate can I come too?
