These boots are made for walking......

Yesterday my male human acted sensibly!
For some time now, his walking boots have been falling apart. This is not a good thing as he wears them a lot – twice a day on most weekdays in fact. Yes, they are the essential items for my walks, as unlike us hardy canines, humans have to put on stout coverings over their lower paws before they can go out for walks!
When I was a puppy Tim had a nice pair of boots which somehow he managed to lose – leaving them behind at a church youth weekend somewhere! So he bought these new ones which lasted for a while but have now split on the soles, with huge gaping holes in them. They must be very uncomfortable to walk in and also let all the rain in!
So yesterday he finally decided to buy some new ones- inspired by the fact that my clever extra human Bryony is still working at Millets in Dundee, and therefore gets a staff discount! So he headed off to Dundee and was advised by glamourous sales assistant Bryony on what to get, and came home with a very expensive but very nice pair of Brasher boots – made of lovely soft smelly leather with Goretex linings! He hasn’t worn them yet but should do for my walk tomorrow!
Meantime Hilary is envious of his new boots and is thinking of fitting in a trip to Millets this week before Bryony leaves her job at the end of June!
