I got up this morning to read some devastating news. My on-line feline friend Henry the Cat sadly has passed away. His humans have commented –

We are very sorry, Max, but we have some really sad news for you. Henry the cat has not been at all well for several days. He did not want to make a fuss about it, but we knew he was very ill as he was not eating anything and sleeping most of the time. So we had to take him to the Vet person and they confirmed our fears that he was very ill as he had kidney failure. We are sorry to say that the Vet said he would not be able to come home again.

We are feeling very sad as he was a great friend to us. He was 16 years old and was full of fun untill the last couple of days. He came to live with us when he was 5 years old when his first human went to live in America.

We shall continue to enjoy your blog and sometimes add our comments, but they will not be as good as Henry’s.

This is indeed really sad news and both me and my female human are in floods of tears just now- for a cat we never met, but who we knew so well from his comments on my blogs. Henry was probably the most regular commentator on my blog, sharing a lot of experiences with us. His first comment was from 1st September 2006.

Sleep well, friend Henry. You are now with Mole your labrador and Jojo our cat and I am sure they are looking after you well.
