Energetic Humans!

10 07 2008 - 19:10

I must admit to being very impressed with my male human recently. Not only has he got up consistently at 6am on weekdays, to take me for a walk before breakfast, but he has also been to the gym a lot too! I have never been to a gym (dogs aren’t allowed) but apparently they have lots of different instruments of torture and endurance that humans sweat and pant on. The treadmill in particular sounds very exciting! Tim got a monthly pass for our local council gym in Perth, and has been a lot – although I have noticed he has gone a bit less in the last few days!

That is because he has been working incredibly hard. For once. He has had a whole lot of extra things on including classes for our young confirmation candidates and meetings about his induction at Dunfermline and the launch of the new Counselling service , Talk Matters. He really has been busy- indeed almost too busy to eat his tea, and certainly too busy to wash up afterwards!

My female human on the hand is just an excited wee girl at the moment, she seems to be on a countdown to her holidays. Five more work days. Four. Three. Just two this morning, and tonight – a mere one work day (or seven and a quarter hours!) to go! Tomorrow night she will be so bouncy she will be unbearable!

Mind you she still has a few tasks to do on those to do lists of hers I told you about, although she keeps checking them and says they are all in order for the time left. She has nearly done all her work tasks and says she will get the rest done fine tomorrow and leave with a clear email inbox ! She has bought all the birthday presents (including mine!) and has a pile of birthday cards to post before she goes away.(none for me I note). She has even ordered an on line grocery shop to be delivered on their return! She has ensured they have got Euros (Tim actually did it, but only after she nagged!) Her washing is up to date and there is a HUGE pile of clothes and holiday things on the spare bed, ready to be packed at the weekend. She has even taken her suitcase out of the musty cupboard to air. I just hope she packs it all soon as my friend Clare is coming on Sunday to look after me and she needs to sleep in that bed!
