Hilary and Tim (my usual loving humans) thought perhaps I was getting an ear infection and wisely got ear drops from the vet just in case. Turns out they were right as my right ear went all floppy last night and I couldn’t stop itching it. Clare (my subsitute for regular humans who are on holiday) therefore administered my ear drops, much to my disgust. I tried writhing around a bit and mouthing at her but that didn’t work. She made me sit and trapped me between her legs so that I couldn’t go anywhere. Accepting defeat, the ear drops were applied and gave me quick relief. Again, on my third walk today, Clare noticed that my ear was a bit floppy again so is satisfied that she’s done the right thing.

Lucky Clare has also had the joy of removing a tick from the top of my head. She thought she’d been let off yesterday when Jimmy (my friend Bethan’s human) found one on my body and removed it with ease, but lo and behold, today there was one on the top of my head. Clare was absolutely repulsed at the prospect of having to take it out, but managed well with my super duper tick remover thing, leaving me beastie free (the beastie complete with legs was squished and thrown in the bucket) and I have only a tiny bald spot to show for it. Hopefully that’s the last of them!
