Many Friends in the Forest

24 07 2008 - 19:07

We had a very exciting walk this morning. We went to the forest, where we often go of a morning, but today there were lots and lots of other dogs there. I usually meet one or two, but it all started with a party just off the car park as there were about six of us arrived at the same time. There were 4 spaniels, me and a labrador, and we all chased each other around the woods.

Our humans then decided to go off in seperate directions, and on the way around I met a wee westie who didn’t want to play with me and barked a lot – his owner said he was suffering from small dog complex. Then I met the spaniels and the labrador again. And then I met a little boxer girl pup called Tess. She was very lively and I barked at her and growled as she was chasing me round and round in circles and I didn’t really like it as I’m quite grown up you know. Finally, we met another two spaniels (different ones) on the way back to the car park, and I played with them for a bit on the way down the hill.

It was a really good walk. I like playing with the other dogs that i meet when we’re out, and Clare likes it too as sometimes she gets to talk to a human. It’s a bit strange really – she doesn’t chase them around like I do, although I know that she was a bit tempted to chase the lovely bronzed jogger that we met the other day!
