Chipped Windscreen
25 07 2008 - 19:50
Something rather exciting happened today. Clare noticed a small chip on the windscreen of my car (Tino) earlier this week and phoned Autoglass to arrange for them to fix it. She arranged for them to come this morning. That was good as it meant that she had to get up just after 7 am in order to walk me round the field before they arrived sometime after 8 am.
Anyway, a big white van came up the driveway. I didn’t create a fuss as the man had phoned Clare (unable to find the house) and she was outside waiting for him. He was a very nice man, chatted away and shared with Clare that he really likes Malta, just like my humans. He also really likes dogs like me, as he used to have a German Shepherd, so he asked Clare if it would be okay for me to come out to meet him.
Gosh, I was so excited! Clare put my lead on and I took off with great gusto, scraping Clare’s hand across the door frame and taking the skin off her knuckle (sorry Clare!). I then rushed to meet the windscreen man who thought I was lovely. I showed him how much of a big soft lump I am by sitting and letting him pet me, and then rolling over onto my back to let him tickle my belly. He thought I was great.
I’m glad that Tim’s said I can share his study in the new house. If he hadn’t said that I might have decided to go and travel the countryside with the man from Autoglass.
