Last full weekend...and clearing out!

It’s been my last full weekend here, as, next Sunday afternoon Monty and I are dispatched to prison for a few days while our humans do all the hard work of moving and getting things set up for us in our new house in Dunfermline. So I have been enjoying my walks (got wonderfully muddy yesterday as there has been a lot of rain this week and the fields at Gallowflat which had been newly harvested were just channels of water and mud now!)
My humans are continuing to clear stuff out and get organised for the move. Yesterday they sorted the utiity room, under my watchful supervision (well, that’s where my food is kept so I wanted to make sure it was safe!) They found all kinds of things they didn’t know they had, and filled two huge bin bags with rubbish. I was delighted to see that one of the items being got rid of was the horrible funnel collar that I had had a couple of years ago after my operation, to stop me getting at the stitches. It is just horrible and it was a great relief to see it going in the bin. My humans also binned my first ever collar (now much too small for me!) and a horrible head-control collar they had tried and failed to use with me, as well as a small car harness ! For some bizarre reason they kept a nasty black muzzle which they had bought to try and stop me barking at one point when i was a baby- and Tim even had the cheek to try it on. (on me, not him, that would be even sillier). I DID NOT LIKE IT even for a couple of seconds. I think they kept it as it still fitted – just in case it was ever needed. No worried there humans, I never intend to wear it again. Ever.
Hilary is going to tackle the cupboard under the stairs this afternoon. She suspects there may be boxes there still unpacked from when we moved here! I hope she doesn’t find too much rubbish though as both of our wheelie bins, and the church one, are already all jammed full of rubbish!
Then tonight we have a Confirmation service here at Glencarse. The Bishop (of the leaving the bathroom door open so I can get in and steal the razors fame) is coming to confirm two candidates. Tim is busy folding the service sheets and getting organised for that. We will have a new Bishop soon when we move. I know he has a cat, called Poppy, but I hope he likes dogs too.
