I'm not invited!

It is just not fair. Being a dog I miss out on all kinds of social events. Even church things, which are meant to be all inclusive and welcoming to everyone. Except, that is if you are a dog. I think the Episcopal church sign should change to say more honestly “The Scottish Episcopal Church welcomes YOU (unless you are a dog).
I wasn’t allowed to the confirmation service with the Bishop yesterday, or the tea party at one of the candidate’s houses first. Hilary tells me the family dog was there- I might have enjoyed meeting her instead of just smelling her on Tim and Hilary afterwards!
I’m not invited to Tim’s induction service next week in Dunfermline – despite him providing a list of guests to be invited! Maybe he missed me off by mistake?
And to cap it all I am not even allowed to Tim’s leaving party here – tomorrow night! My extra humans Bryony and Laura are even coming to that (Hilary had to hang up ancient curtains in their bed rooms as she had already taken down the proper ones to wash and pack!). Tim is going to drive to Edinburgh and St Andrews to pick them up tomorrow (I suspect so he can try the sat nav out again) – but do I , who actually live here in Glencarse and am, after all the Rectory dog, get to go?
No.
All most unfair. I am off to sulk.
