Welcome cards!

7 09 2008 - 15:20

I have been delighted to receive several items of mail recently. So often the post is only for the humans, which seems rather unfair when I live here too. However we have received several “new home” cards this week – very apt of course as this is our new home! Some were for us all to share, and some just for the humans, but some were addessed to me and Monty!

One of these was from “Mrs C and Fay” from the church here. That had a picture of a dog on the front. He was pulling a kennell all wrapped in ribbons! They also sent my humans one with a cat on. Noticeably no humans in the pictures, so that was good!

I got a lovely one from Fern, Jenni’s daughter. Jenni and Fern came to see me in Glencarse not long ago and Fern was rather wary of me, to say the least. I don’t know why, after all I am a big handsome and very friendly beast! Anyway this card was very amusing as it had a picture of a dog and a cat on the front, with a new kennel. It says “Heard you’re moving to a new home, what fun, how exciting for you, and then inside it reads “so whens the party?”. Fern has written in it – “so I can avoid it”! Poor Fern! Little does she know I may well visit her and her Mum soon in their new home in Deeside!

Then this morning I got another card – this time from a dog! Yes, it appears I have a new pal here in Dunfermline, and she is called Ritz (affectionatley known as Ritzy) She lives with a family called the Cromwells from church here. I was very touched to get a card from her today, presented to Hilary by Rebecca, and the card even has a picture of Ritzy on, who looks good fun!

Thank you for the cards and the welcome folks!
